Conditions You need to: to Obtain a Class 1 Permit
Have less than 4 points demerit points on your driving record.
· Not have incurred any suspension or revocation of your driver’s license during the last two years in conjunction with the Criminal Code. This includes an accumulation of demerit points.
· Pass the Visual test delivered by the RAMQ.
· Pass a standard physical exam and present the report to the RAMQ.
· Pass a theoretical exam. (Cost of exam is $10).
· Must hold a class 5 permit (standard license) for a minimum of at least 36 months.
A Class 1 license in Quebec gives drivers the privilege of driving all types of vehicles with the exception of motorcycles.
